About the course
This Silver Challenge Award is one of four that when all completed mean that you can enter straight into your BHS Stage 2 care exam. This award will also educate you about some interesting elements of horse care including identification, anatomy, horse health, feeding and fitness.
This course is for anyone who wishes to educate themselves more about correct horse care and for those who have access to horses or a yard, as there are two practical tasks that will need to be completed as part of this course. The rest of the course is theory based. You will work through content that includes written information, images, video, and quizzes. A workbook will also be completed as you work through the course.
Course Snapshot
- On completion of the course you will receive a BHS Certificate.
- Five modules with interactive online quizzes and videos to reinforce your learning.
- Option to engage in a video call at the end of the course to discuss your learning and understanding of all topics.
- 30 recommended study hours. This is only a guide as it depends on how quickly the individual can absorb the information.
- Flexible payment options; course fees can be paid in full or spread out over 6 instalments.
- Suitable for 12 year olds upwards.
